Siva

1. Sīva Thera.– A monk of Sri Lanka, an eminent teacher of the Vinaya. Vin.v.3.

2. Sīva.– See Mahāsīva, Cūḷa-Sīva, Tanasīva, Bhayasīva, etc.

3. Sīva.– King of Sri Lanka (522 A.C.). He was the maternal uncle of Kumāradhātusena, whom he killed in order to seize the throne. He reigned only twenty-five days, and was killed by Upatisssa. Cv.xli.1‑5.
