Aggapaṇḍita
A native of Burma and author of the Lokuppattipakaraṇa, written at Pagan in the thirteenth century (Gv.64, 67). The Pitakatthamain calls the work Lokuppattipakāsanī (Bode, 16, n.3).
The Sāsanavaṃsa (74) speaks of three monks named Aggapaṇḍita: Mahā-Aggapaṇḍita (evidently our author), Dutiya-Aggapaṇḍita, his co-resident (saddhivihārika), and Tatiya-Aggapaṇḍita (his nephew), all of Arimaddanapura and all famed for their learning.
