Vaḍḍhī Sutta

1. Vaḍḍhī Sutta.– Growing in five things a female noble disciple grows with a noble growth and gains the essence of bodily existence. What five? She grows in faith, virtue, learning, liberality, and wisdom.  S.iv.250.

2. Paṭhama Vaḍḍhī Sutta.– Growing in five things a noble disciple (ariya-sāvako) grows with a noble growth and gains the essence of bodily existence. What five? He grows in faith (saddhāya vaḍḍhati), virtue (sīlena vaḍḍhati), learning (sutena vaḍḍhati), liberality (cāgena vaḍḍhati) and wisdom (paññāya vaḍḍhati). A.iii.80.

3. Dutiya Vaḍḍhī Sutta.– The same as (1). A.iii.80.

4. Vaḍḍhī Sutta.– The Noble Disciple grows in ten ways: in lands and fields, wealth and possessions, wife and family, servitors and retinue, beasts of burden, faith, virtue, learning, liberality, and wisdom. A.v.137.
