Satipaṭṭhāna Sutta

1. Satipaṭṭhāna Sutta.– The tenth sutta of the Majjhimanikāya. It is identical with the Mahāsatipaṭṭhāna Sutta of the Dīghanikāya, except that towards the end, the latter Sutta interpolates paragraphs explaining in detail the Four Noble Truths. These, in the Majjhimanikāya, form a separate sutta, the Saccavibhaṅga Sutta.

2. Satipaṭṭhāna Sutta.– The four foundations of mindfulness form the path that goes to the unconditioned. S.iv.360.

3. Satipaṭṭhāna Sutta.– Four things should be developed for the full understanding of lust. What four? Mindfulness of the body, feelings, thoughts, and mental objects. A.ii.256.
