Sāraṇīya Sutta

1. Sāraṇīya Sutta.– A king must remember where he was born, where he was anointed, and where he won a battle. A monk must remember where he was ordained, where he realised the Four Noble Truths, and where he attained Arahantship. A.i.106 f.

2. Paṭhama Sāraṇīya Suttā.– Six things that a monk should bear in mind whether alone or among others — kind actions, speech, and thoughts, sharing whatever he gets, observing the training rules without any defects, and maintaining the Noble view (ed.). A.iii.288 f

3. Dutiya Sāraṇīya Suttā.– The same six things that endear him to others, gain respect, maintain concord, and lead to unity (ed.) A.iii.289 f
