Caṅkī Sutta — A Discourse to Caṅkī
Added the Cankī Sutta a discourse to the elderly brahmin Caṅkī. A young student of his interrupts the conversation and engages in a dialogue with the Buddha on how to guard the truth, awaken to the truth, and attain the truth.

At the end of the discourse, the young Brahmin takes refuge in the Buddha and declares himself to be a disciple, but Caṅkī does not. No doubt he gained great esteem for the Buddha, but his pride seems to have obstructed his faith.
