King of Sri Lanka (circa 1542 A.C.). He succeeded VijayabÄhu VI. and claimed descent from Sirisaá¹…ghabodhi. He lived in Sirivaá¸á¸hanapura (modern Kandy), built eighty-six dwelling houses for the monks and had the Tipiá¹aka copied. He went on a pilgrimage to Mahiyaá¹…gana and SumanakÅ«á¹a. He cultivated a rice field himself, and, from the produce, gave alms. Cv.xcii.6ff.
