Vataṃsaka

A man once offered a vataṃsaka flower to the Buddha as he was begging for alms in Sāvatthi. The Buddha accepted the gift and smiled. When Ānanda asked the reason for the smile, the Buddha replied that the man would enjoy bliss for eighty-four world-cycles and would then become a Pacceka Buddha named Vataṃsaka. Netti, p.138f.
