Vataṃsaka

A Pacceka Buddha of the future.

A man once offered a vataṃsaka flower to the Buddha as he was begging for alms in SÄvatthi. The Buddha accepted the gift and smiled. When Ä€nanda asked the reason for the smile, the Buddha replied that the man would enjoy bliss for eighty-four world-cycles and would then become a Pacceka Buddha named Vataṃsaka. Netti, p.138f.
