Vaá¹…kanÄsika TissaKing of Sri Lanka (171 4 A.C.). He was the son of Vasabha and his wife was the daughter of King Subha. He built the MahÄ-maá¹…gala-vihÄra and his wife built the MÄtu-vihÄra in honour of a monk who had given her his blessing. Vaá¹…kanÄsika’s son was GajabÄhukagÄmaṇī.
