Uruvelamaṇḍala

A district in Rohaṇa, in South Sri Lanka, where the ministers Bhūta, Rakkha, and Kitti obtained a decisive victory over their enemies. This battle enabled them to get possession of the Buddha’s Bowl and the Tooth Relic (Cv.lxxiv.125‑6).

Geiger thinks that the place was near the modern Monarāgala (Cv.Trs.ii.33, n.1).
