Uruvelamaṇá¸ala
A district in Rohaṇa, in South Sri Lanka, where the ministers Bhūta, Rakkha and Kitti obtained a decisive victory over their enemies. This battle enabled them to get possession of the Buddha’s Bowl and the Tooth Relic (Cv.lxxiv.125-6).
Geiger thinks that the place was near the modern MonarÄgala (Cv.Trs.ii.33, n.1).
