Sotthisena

1. Sotthisena.- King of Benares and son of Brahmadatta. His wife was Sambulā. See the Sambulā Jātaka. He is identified with the king of Kosala (? Pasenadi). J.v.98.

2. Sotthisena.- Son of King Mahānāma and a Damiḷa queen. He succeeded Mahānāma in 431 A.C., and was killed, almost immediately after his accession, by his step-sister, Saṅghā. Cv.xxxviii.1.
