SirÄ«samÄlaka
A sacred spot in AnurÄdhapura, where Kakusandha Buddha taught during his visit to Sri Lanka (Mhv.xv.84). It was to the south of the NÄgamalÄka (Mhv.xv.118) and to the north of the Bodhi tree, near the SilÄsobbhakandaka cetiya (MT. 351).
King Thūlatthana built a thūpa on the spot (MT. 355).
