Satipaá¹á¹hÄna Sutta
1. Satipaá¹á¹hÄna Sutta.- The tenth sutta of the Majjhima NikÄya. It is identical with the MahÄ Satipaá¹á¹hÄna Sutta of the DÄ«gha NikÄya, except that towards the end, the latter Sutta interpolates paragraphs explaining in detail the Four Noble Truths. These, in the Majjhima NikÄya, form a separate sutta, the Sacca Vibhaá¹…ga Sutta. 2. Satipaá¹á¹hÄna Sutta.- A monk who is mindful regarding the rise and fall of things sees nothing attractive in the body, is conscious of the cloying of food, has distaste for the world, and perceives impermanence in the “Compounded“ — such a one becomes either an Arahant in this life or a Non-returner. A.iii.142. 3. Satipaá¹á¹hÄna Sutta.- The four foundations of mindfulnesss form the path that goes to the “Uncompounded.†S.iv.360.
