Pañcapariveṇamūla


A monastery in Sri Lanka.

At one time Abhaya was head of the monks there and interceded with the chief of the KuthÄrasabhÄ in settling the differences between Kittisirimegha and the prince (who afterwards became ParakkamabÄhu I.) (Cv.lxvii.61).

A PañcapariveṇÄdhipati was author of the PÄli medical work, the BhesajjamañjÅ«sÄ, in the reign of ParakkamabÄhu IV of Jambuddoni. P.L.C.244.
