Nikata

1. Nikata.- A lay disciple (upāsaka) of Ñātikā. After death he was born in the Suddhāvāsā, there to pass away. S.v.358f.;D.ii.91f.

2. Nikata.- One of several eminent theras mentioned as staying in the Kūṭāgārasāla in Vesāli. When the Buddha came there, Licchavis crowded out the place with all their retinues, and Nikata and his coleagues, desiring solitude, retired to the Gosiṅgasālavana. A.v.133f.
