1. Nikata.- A lay disciple (upÄsaka) of ÑÄtikÄ. After death he was born in the SuddhÄvÄsÄ, there to pass away. S.v.358f.;D.ii.91f.
2. Nikata.- One of several eminent theras mentioned as staying in the KūṭÄgÄrasÄla in VesÄli. When the Buddha came there, Licchavis crowded out the place with all their retinues, and Nikata and his coleagues, desiring solitude, retired to the Gosiá¹…gasÄlavana. A.v.133f.
