MittakÄlÄ« TherÄ«
v.l. MittakÄlika TherÄ«.- She came of a brahmin family of KammÄsadamma and entered the Order after hearing the Buddha teach the MahÄ SatipatthÄna Sutta.
For seven years she showed a craving for gifts and honours and was quarrelsome. However, later she put forth effort and became an Arahant (ThigA.i.89).
Some verses ascribed to her are found in the TherÄ«gÄthÄ, vs.92-6.
