Marutta-pokkharaṇī

When Mahinda scattered flowers on it the earth trembled, and Mahinda prophesied that it would become the Jantāghara-pokkharaṇī situated to the east of the gateway of the Kālapāsāna-pariveṇa.

It had disappeared by the time the Mahāvaṃsa Ṭīkā was written (MT.344f).

The boundary (sīmā) of the Mahāvihāra passed through the reservoir. Mbv.135, 136.
