1. ManihÄ«ra. A vihÄra built by MahÄsena. Mhv.xxxvil.40.
2. ManihÄ«ra. A reservoir built by MahÄsena (Mhv.xxxvii.47). Aggabodhi built a canal leading out of it (Cv.xlii.34); so did Sena II. (Cv.li.72). Among the canals flowing into the reservoir was the Tilavatthuka, restored by VijayabÄhu I. (Cv.lx.53). ParakkamabÄhu I rebuilt the reservoir (Cv.lxxix.31), and constructed the KÄlindÄ« Canal to carry away the overflow from the south side (Cv.xlii.54). It was near this reservoir that Saá¹…ghatissa was taken prisoner by the followers of MoggallÄna III. Cv.xliv.30.
