Mangana
A locality, probably a monastery in Sri Lanka, the residence of an Arahant, Khuddaka Tissa (Kujjaka Tissa) (Mhv.xxxii.53; J.vi.30).
The place was five leagues from AnurÄdhapura and was visited by SaddhÄtissa (AA.i.384).
A Mangana vihÄra is mentioned among the religious buildings erected by DhÄtusena (Cv.xxxviii.48). This was probably a restoration of the original.
