MañcadÄyaka


1. MañcadÄyaka Thera. An Arahant. In the time of Siddhattha Buddha he was a Cṇá¸Äla, and made a lintel which he offered to the Order. He was fifty times king of the gods and eighty times king of men. Ap.ii.377f.
2. MañcadÄyaka. An Arahant Thera. Ninety-one world-cycles ago he gave a bed to VipassÄ« Buddha (Ap.ii.455). He is probably identical with SÄmaññakÄni Thera (ThagA.i.99). v.l. PecchadÄyaka.
