Kimatthi Sutta


1. Kimatthi Sutta.- The first part is identical with the Kimattha Sutta. If further questioned as to what is suffering (dukkha), monks should answer, “eye is suffering, visible objects are suffering, eye-contact is suffering, etc.†S.iv.138
2. Kimatthi Sutta.- A discussion between SÄriputta and JambukhÄdaka at NÄlaka.

“What is the purpose of the holy life?â€
“The comprehension of Ill.â€

“Is there a way thereto?â€
“Yes, the Noble Eightfold Way.†S.iv.253.
