Katthaka Cetiya
A structure built by the queen consort of Udaya I (Cv.xlix.23). Can this be identical with Kantaka Cetiya (q.v.)? (See also Cv.Trs.i.129, n.3).
The Sumaá¹…galavilÄsiṇī (DA.i.291) mentions a KatthakasÄla-pariveṇa (v.l. KanthakasÄla, KandarasÄlÄ), the abode of a monk named MahÄsatthivassa (q.v.) who lived in the time of King Vasabha. Kaṇá¹hakasÄla (? KatthakasÄla)-pariveṇa was also the residence of a young novice who won the esteem of Tissa, a minister of King SaddhÄ-TissÄ (AA.i.262).
