DÅ«ratissaka-vÄpi
A reservoir in Rohaṇa, near MahÄgÄma. MeghavaṇṇÄbhaya, minister of MahÄsena, leading a revolt against the king, once encamped on its bank (Mhv.xxxvii.18). SaddhÄtissa built a vihÄra near by (Mhv.xxxiii.9). MahÄnÄga gave to the ascetics one thousand fields watered by the reservoir (Cv.xli.99; see Cv.Trs.i.62, n.1), and ParakkamabÄhu I, repaired the reservoir (Cv.lxxix.32). Geiger thinks (Mhv. Trs.248, n.5) that DÅ«ratissa-vÄpi is probably identical with DÅ«ravÄpi.
