Cittaka Thera
Son of a wealthy brahmin of RÄjagaha. He heard the Buddha teach at Veluvana and, having entered the Order, practised meditation in a wooded spot, ultimately achieving Arahantship.
In the time of Vipassī Buddha he offered him flowers in homage (Thag.22; ThagA.i.77).
He is probably identical with Tīṇikiá¹…kinipupphiya Thera of the ApadÄna. Ap.ii.433.
