Āsavakkhaya Sutta

1. Āsavakkhaya Sutta.– The five controlling faculties (indriya) of faith (saddhā), energy (viriya), mindfulness (sati), concentration (samādhi), and wisdom (paññā), if developed and cultivated, lead to the destruction of the corruptions. (S.v.203)

2. Āsavakkhaya Sutta.– The five controlling faculties (indriya) of faith (saddhā), energy (viriya), mindfulness (sati), concentration (samādhi), and wisdom (paññā), if developed and cultivated, lead to the destruction of the corruptions.

The development and cultivation of the faculties, leads to the abandonment of the fetters, the rooting out of the latent tendencies, the full understanding of the way, and the destruction of the corruptions. S.v.236.

3. Āsavakkhaya Sutta.– The Four Foundations of Mindfulness should be developed and cultivated for the destruction of the corruptions (āsava).  S.v.305.

4. Āsavakkhaya Sutta.– Intent concentration on in-breathing and out-breathing conduces to the destruction of the corruptions. S.v.340.

5. Āsavakkhaya Sutta.– In him who knows suffering, etc., the corruptions are destroyed. S.v.434.

6. Āsavakkhaya Sutta.– Five things, if practised, lead to the destruction of the corruptions (āsava): reflection on what is loathsome, the thought of disgust with regard to food, revulsion from all things, the perception of impermanence in all composite things and the thought of death. A.iii.83.
