Amata.- The Lake of Immortality, in searching for which Bhaddasāla met the Buddha Nārada. BuA.154.

Amata Vagga.- The fifth chapter of the Satipatthāna Samyutta of the Samyutta Nikāya. S.v.184-90.

1. Amata Sutta.- The Buddha teaches the Deathless and the path thereto. S.iv.370.

2. Amata Sutta.- Dwell with mind well established in the four Satipatthānā, but let not that be to you the Deathless, i.e. do not confuse the means with the end. S.v.184; also KS.v.161, n.1.
