Aggapaṇá¸ita
A native of Burma and author of the Lokuppattipakarana, written at Pagan in the thirteenth century (Gv.64, 67). The Pitakatthamain calls the work LokuppattipakÄsanÄ« (Bode, 16, n.3).
The SÄsanavaṃsa (74) speaks of three monks by the name of Aggapandita: MahÄ-Aggapaṇá¸ita (evidently our author), Dutiya-Aggapaṇá¸ita (his saddhivihÄrika), and Tatiya-Aggapaṇá¸lita (his nephew), all of Arimaddanapura and all famed for their learning.
